Siau island and around

Siau Tagulandang Biaro Regency ( Sitaro ), is one of the districts that has natural beauty wich no less beauty than other regions.Some of the natural beauty that can be enjoed in this district include : White sand beaches,marine parks,Volcano,Rare animal,etc.And everything is still  natural.

Sitaro regency is located in the provice of north Sulawesi,Indonesia.To get to this district there are several ships operating every day.Depature hours : Fast boat approximately 09.00 am,Manado to Siau island.Another boat around 16.pm.

Tagulandang island is one of 47 islands in Sitaro archipelago.To get Tagulandang island i and my guests must to sailing four hours  from Manado chity by fast boat. On the way to this island sometimes some peoples can see dolphis fishs or whales.it makes we keep waching from boat windows when we were sailing to Tagulandang island. When we arrived in Tagulandang island we feel so enjoy it.Tagulandang island is one beautyful island with so kindly peoples.All peoples that we met alwas smille to us. We explore this isnland for one day.one makes us interesting is visted  the Salak fruit garden.In this garden i and my two guests from Fance did mating salak feuit.it was an extraordinary experience of us. Not only that,we did snorkeling in one beach close with our Homestay. We stay in Along Homestay.Cause this Homestay is nice and clean. We feel not enought to stay one night in Tagulandang island.  Gian crab. These crebs can be seen on \Siau island and Masare island,wich area island that are tourist destinations,and are close to \Siau island. it is called gian creb,because this creb has a very large bfy size compared to other types of crabs in general.According the natural knowledge of the Siau people,the for crabs is coconuts. Cause this creb also can climb cocont trees and take th fruit. Its big finger can crack hard coconut shells.This makes teh person holding it have to extra careful,because if it gets pinched by its fingers,it will get hurt. In the Siau laguage,this creb is known s " KUSASU ".

 Philippine Megapode or in Siau language it is called Mele, this bird is very easy to find in the Siau Islands district of Tagulandang Biaro, especially on Siau Island and Masare Island. In terms of breeding, this bird has a unique way. This bird does not incubate, but instead incubates the eggs by the heat from the sand. When the time comes to lay eggs, this bird will dig into the sand approximately one to one and a half meters deep and lay the egg, then bury it and leave it. After a few days, the baby bird will hatch and will have to fend for itselfcame out of the sand approximately one meter deep.After emerging from the sand, this baby bird immediately learned to fly, without being accompanied by its mother. This bird lays more than one egg at a time, namely up to four or five or even more. However, sometimes this bird's eggs are often eaten by predators, namely monitor lizards..
